In this workshop, we’re going to crack the code and take matters into our own hands. This isn’t a geeky class, it’s a session to help you become independent and smart online.
We’ll cover:

• Cool and free alternatives: Awesome tools that respect you. Social networks where you’re not a “product” for big companies, your own cloud, and powerful apps that you can modify.
• The truth about GAFAM: How they make money from your data (spoiler: you are the product).
• Taking action: We will install and try out game-changing software together and talk about the Fediverse (the decentralized social internet).

No need to be an IT expert. Just bring your curiosity and an open mind, and we’ll provide the rest. By the end, you’ll leave with a toolkit to de-GAFAM your digital life and discover a freer, more ethical web that you control.
